WhatsApp for Symbian gets splitscreen text entry support with the latest update!

After constantly requesting the developers, WhatsApp has finally been updated with the feature I was most looking forward to – Splitscreen Text Entry!

Now, you can read the chat while typing your messages at the same time. Sounds pretty insignificant, but in realtime usage, has a huge effect! This will also help you shave off a few seconds on each message, and if you chat a lot, that means a lot of time!

What is WhatsApp you ask?

WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Nokia and yes, those phones can all message each other!

In addition to basic messaging iPhone, Android, Nokia and BlackBerry WhatsApp Messenger users can send each other unlimited images, video and audio media messages.

The latest release of WhatsApp, v2.6.29 brings only a few changes -

cj .. crazy problem i have wid whatsapp..
m on vodafone.. zero rental plan for gprs ..
and my whatsapp works fine everywhere.. in india .. but as soon as i land in kolkatta it stops working.. have tried all possible settings.. even spoke to vodafone guys .. first they said they dun know anything abt whatsapp later i changed my complaint to saying tht as soon as i land in kolkatta my internet stops working .. now its been over a week and they too cant figure it out..
help me.. !!!!

  lol Sahil. No idea man, that’s not a software problem, that’s something wrong with your operator. Which phone are you using now? Ask them to resend you the operator internet settings?
