Darn and here I was thinking they were upto something :o) The Apple UK store went down at the same time, so imagine the conspiracy possibilities! haha :D
No conspiracy, I know what was going on. Servers had problems with configurations and database issues, so they were fixing them. Apparently it was a big enough problem to reach the main website.
