The Nokia N97 Mini’s gotten a new reign on life with the recent v30.0.004 Firmware Update, and here’s what’s new.
1. First up, the new browser version 7.3.1.27. It basically seems to be the same as the one on Symbian Anna, with the faster loading loading times, and various new features like Tabbed Browsing, copy urls directly, or directly search Google or Bing in the address bar itself.
2. There’s a new Email Client with a smoother overall interface and design. The bug where you could not see Sync Status is now fixed.
3. There’s Emoticons in the Messaging app. You now have various Smileys to choose from.
4. Smart Dialer in the dialing screen.
5. A new circle indicator for open apps.
6. The option for “Pc Suite” when connecting to a computer is now replaced by “Ovi Suite” (Ironic since the Ovi brand is being retired right now).
There’s also various performance related improvements like:
1. You can now type the text input in various apps without it crashing. Eg: Type in the web browser, switch to another app and type there, and switch back, it’ll work fine now.
2. The Messaging App doesnt lag anymore.
3. The Music Player App opens much faster, again without any lag.
4. Apps open much quicker.
5. Camera quality seems to have gone up?
6. Touchscreen haptic feedback vibration seems to have changed in intensity.
7. Mail for Exchange is gone, and now integrated with Nokia Email directly.
8. Ovi Chat is removed.
9. Overall the phone seems much smoother.
Again, this is all personal experience and not an official changelog.

its confirmed by Nokia Beta Labs via a tweet that Ovi Suite is having problems in updating the firmware so please use Nokia Softeare Updater or Over the air update or else your phone will be dead..
i updated ota but now my screen is unusable... What is the solution to this problem if anyone is aware of the same.
Its Nokia as usual...N8 gona get the PR 2.0 Anna update In August I suppose...
i have a 5230 lying in my house......will try updating it to ckeck the browser
And you can unlock your phone by opening the keyboard
Before also in v12 it unlocked when you slid out the keyboard....
