Nokia E72 receives Firmware version 71 update!

The Nokia E72 has received the Software Update Nokia announced last week which was supposed to bring the new versions of the Nokia browser, Ovi Maps & Smileys to the SMS & MMS app.

The update wasn’t available in the SW Update when I checked. But you can dial *#0000# & press options > Check for Updates to get the update.

From what I have noticed, these are the changes brought about by this Firmware :

  • Web Browser updated to v7.3.1.26
  • Ovi Maps updated to v3.04 10wk32 b04
  • Smiley support in SMS / MMS
  • Mail client updated to v3.13
  • All round performance improvement.

If you notice anything else new, please share them with us via Comments.
