The Nokia E6, as we mentioned before, is supposed to be a sequel to the Nokia E72.
As such, we figured we’d take a couple pictures of the two side-by-side just to see what’s changed.
Front View:
At the front of the two devices, you’ll notice how the E6′s design has evolved from the E72. The placement of the ambient light sensor and front facing camera are the same, but the E6 now has a proximity sensor, to shut off the Touchscreen when you make calls. The Nokia E72 had a 2.36 Inch Screen at 320 x 240 pixel resolution, whereas the E6 takes that up to 2.46 Inches at 640 x 480 pixels, making this the highest pixel density in any Nokia device so far. Additionally, the E6 has a capacitive touchscreen to boot. Both have calling keys, and 4 One-Touch keys on the Navigation deck, with a Dpad and full QWERTY keyboard below it.
Which one looks better though, is up to one’s personal opinion. I think the E72 looks better, but then again, I thought the E71 looked better than the E72.
Back View:
Speaker placement is the same in both devices, located to the left of the camera module. The E72 had a single LED Flash for the 5 Megapixel Auto-Focus Camera. The E6 has a Dual LED flash, but is limited by its 8 Megapixel Full-Focus EDoF camera.
The E72 had a nice little design going on with its stainless steel back panel, to minimalize scratches, but the E6 has an anodized aluminum back panel which is even more scratch resistant.
Top View: (Whoops this one got a little shaky)
Both devices have a 3.5mm Audio jack located here. The E6 also has it’s microSD card slot here, covered with a large plastic flap.
Left View:
Both devices have a microUSB connector/charging port here. The E72 also had its microSD card slot here.
Right View:
Both devices have their volume keys here, with a mute (and also voice command) key in the middle. The E6 also has a sliding screenlock key here, to lock its touchscreen.
Bottom View:
At this point, you’ve probably noticed that the E6 is just a tiny bit thinner than the E72. At the bottom, both have their standard Nokia 2mm charging ports.

So that’s about it for our little comparison. Based on looks alone, what are your thoughts on the two Eseries devices?
Yes it has that light but for now it doesn't work so good. Check posts here: http://discussions.nokiausa.com/t5/Eseries-and-Communicators/Nokia-E6-doesn-t-have-notification-light/td-p/1044367
