The Nokia E6 we got to check out in yesterday’s Nokia India preview meet was a near-retail device. After taking a lot of pictures of it, and checking out the retail box, we figured we’d try out the camera too.

However, since it wasnt on final firmware, we figured it wouldnt be fair to really take a load of pictures from the thing. I mean, we didnt expect any miracles from the EDoF lens as it is, so why try it out on unfinished software. Still, just to get a general sense of the camera, here’s five (yup just five) camera sample images from the 8 Megapixel Full-Focus camera on the Nokia E6. All taken indoors, in auto mode.

So yeah some pretty decent pictures provided the conditions are right. But it suffers as you go closer. Does the EDoF turn you off the E6? Or would you buy it for the convenience of the Touch-and-type form factor anyway?
