Google just announced at their I/O event that they have added the ability for users to rent movies through the Android Market.

It wasnt too long since the Market added books, and now we have movies too! Users will be able to rent movies for 30 days, and stream it over to your device. There will also be a ‘pinning’ feature that will allow a user to watch content when they do not have an active data connection. Movies you rent will also be available on all your Android devices/Tablets and the Web to watch, instantly.
The Movies app will be released for Android 3.1 on Tablets, and Android 2.2 smartphones, in a ‘few weeks’.
