Nokia N900 to get MeeGo 1.2 Developer Edition in June
Apparently the ol’ Nokia N900 will be getting an unofficial/official update to MeeGo 1.2 Developer Edition some time in June.

While this one’s not really for end users, the OS will be fully functional enough, with Voice Calls, Camera, and Fennec Browsing currently working. The team consists of 20-ish Nokia Paid Developers and 10-ish Volunteers, so hopefully things should be stable/finished enough by then.

Would it not be smarter for everyone to make Maemo available on N9? Or even better, how about making a Ubuntu ARM version for them both - and drop the depency to Nokia?
