Remember back in May, when Nokia and Yahoo announced that they would be joining forces for Online services?

Well apparently there was a lot of behind-the-scenes work going on, as we will begin to see the fruits of that announcement, in the coming days.
According to the Ovi Blog, from now on Ovi Chat and Ovi Mail will be powered by Yahoo:
A few new features we will be rolling out over the coming weeks include:
- Grow your friends list: Chat users will be able to invite Yahoo! Messenger friends into their friend list
- Use the brand new Mail website: Mail users will soon get themes, improved attachment support, and Ovi Chat integration into the web mail experience
- Chat from the web: Chat users can start chatting with friends from any computer as well as from your Nokia, giving you more opportunities to stay in touch with friends and family
If you currently use Mail or Chat, you must take special action
Because of the major changes we’re making, you must accept additional Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to keep usingMail and Chat. You can accept by visiting the website below, entering your Nokia account details and clicking Next.
If you’ve accepted the new Terms and Privacy Policy, you will see the new features automatically turn up, as part of your Mail and Chat powered by Yahoo! experience.
If you are an Ovi Chat user, there’s a bit more to do. More details over on the Ovi Blog Post.
Hello, I work for Nokia and we are excited about the partnership with Yahoo! To clarify the post: Ovi Chat users will be the first to receive the new Terms of Service. That is the only action required to continue using the Service. Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat will continue under the Ovi brand, user email and chat addresses will remain the same, and the migration will open up Ovi users to the Yahoo! experience and properties. Ovi is growing by 200,000 activations every day. Partners like Yahoo! will be integral to bringing the Ovi experience to new audiences, showing the value of our global ecosystem where content providers large and small can be accessible to millions of people. Best, Shane McLaughlin, Nokia Communications
