The Nokia N8 already gets Software Hacks: 30 FPS HD recording, Lower Image Compression
The ‘Modder‘ famous for overclocking the 5230 variants, and extending the life of the Samsung i9810 way after the company stopped supporting it, hyperX got himself a Nokia N8.

And what does that mean? It means the new Imaging flagship from the Finnish Giant, just got a whole lot more capable. Already, hyperX has managed to ‘hack‘ together a mod for the N8 to shoot at 30 Frames per second (instead of the default 25fps). This results in a much smoother video overall. Video sample on this link.
And to add to that, he’s also lowered down the Image compression for the Nokia N8, which means image files are a lot larger now, but should have a (minimal) positive bump in quality. The average 12 MP photo by the N8, weighs in at around 2 MB in size, but lowering the Image compressions, brings that all the way up to a humongous 11Mb.You can check out this uncompressed Image sample by clicking here (Warning 11Mb file).
As of right now, he hasnt provided instructions on how to do this, but no doubt he will soon enough. The N8 sure looks like it’s going to be a very capable device, with guys like hyperX working on it.
