Samsung finally announces the Samsung Galaxy Tab

Ah the Samsung Galaxy Tab. The most anticipated and most leaked Tablet since the iPad.

Samsung finally went and announced the new Samsung Galaxy Tab today. The Tablet boasts a 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor, with Android 2.2, a 7-inch WSVGA screen with multitouch, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps / HSDPA 7.2 Mbps radio (900, 1900, 2100 MHz), quad-band GSM, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, DLNA, Flash 10.1, a 4000 mAh battery, 3 megapixel rear-facing camera with flash, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, full HD video playback at 1080p and a microSD card slot with support for up to a 32 GB card.

Phew.

All this and it just weighs 380 grams (13.4 ounces). That is is quite a spec sheet although i’m not too hot on that 3 Megapixel camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is expected to launch in Europe in mid September, and in other markets including Korea, the US and Asia in coming months. No word on pricing yet. Check out the Samsung Galaxy Tab website for more details in the meanwhile

So what do you guys think? Better than the iPad? I know I totally want one.
