As if winning last year and the year before wasnt enough, Nokia has been voted India’s most trusted brand yet again this year.

Says D Shivakumar, managing director and vice president, Nokia, “We have a unique combination where Nokia and mobility have overcome many infrastructure problems. We have provided connections by breaking hierarchy in society, in family and at work. Mobility has been a great leveller of information by providing instant access to Indians
At this point I’m not too sure how long they’ll hold onto this crown. With the delays in launching devices here (seriously I’m holding a Nokia C6 in my hands right now, that’s not going to release in India until October?) and late firmware updates (although that’s partly the Indian Government’s fault, banning Voip and all), they’re not exactly winning over the premium segment nowadays.
Still, kudos on the win Nokia! If they win in 2011 too, they’ll have broken the record held by a previous holder, India’s Colgate brand.
