DivX Mobile Player v1.0 for Symbian Touch Finally Released

The DivX Mobile Player has been out for Symbian S60v3 devices in Beta, for a while now. But sadly, the S60v5 Touch version was missing in action.

That is, until now. Earlier today, DivX Mobile Player v1.0 for Symbian Touch devices was finally released (v1 also applies to Non-Touch devices if y’all are interested). This new version has numerous updates and simplifications to the UI.

“ATTENTION: We have released a new 1.0 version for Symbian S60 3rd and 5th edition phones.

Even if your phone isn’t officially DivX Certified, you may still be able to watch DivX® videos by downloading and installing the DivX Mobile Player. Find out below if your phone supports the DivX Mobile Player and follow the link to download according to your phone’s operating system.

DivX Mobile Player 1.0 is beta software available for a limited time only and will expire.
For the older 0.94 release, please scroll down to the bottom of the page.

If you are reading this page from your mobile phone, try using the Mobile website instead.”

You can grab the DivX Mobile Player from their download page. It should play most Movie files fine, provided your bitrate isnt too high (generally anything 600kbps-ish should work).
