Unboxing a Giant #NokiaBox; Delhi Edition

Early yesterday morning, we were sent a mysterious little email from Nokia WomWorld, to ‘meet‘ them at a certain Mall nearby, here in New Delhi.

So we proceeded to the Select Citywalk – DLF Place Mall, and egads were we in for a certain something.

I had a little hint of what to expect, when Mark from TheNokiaBlog posted about what he went through earlier that day, in Times Square New York City. With that in mind, I met up with Dhruv from Symbian-LifeBlog and went out on the lookout for a Giant Nokia Box. And Womworld sure did not disappoint.

Right there, in the middle of the mall, was a Giant. Nokia. Box.

Not something you see often. A much larger version of the one we got in the mail.

If this is just clue #3 I cant even imagine what the size of the Clue #4 Box might be.

All this time we had a whole camera crew following us around.

Darn Paparazzi stalking us celebrities heh.

At that point, it was time to ‘unbox‘ the big giant Nokia Box. As you’d expect we were like kids opening presents on Christmas Day.

Opening the box, we found two brand spankin’ new Nokia C6 devices waiting for us. Looks like our guess about it being a Cseries-related event was right on.

In White and Black. Dhruv chose the Black one, while I got the White.

This was by far the fun-nest ‘Unboxing‘ we’ve done. Usually we’re in our apartment. This time we were out in public, in the center of one of Delhi’s busiest malls, so we got to share our experience with a lot of curious bystanders. I think between Dhruv and I, we unknowingly convinced about 20 people to get a Nokia C6 that day heh. Too bad it isnt released in India yet!

I’m not too sure if WomWorld is going to release the entire video, but if they do you guys are going to witness some pretty comical moments between Dhruv, Me, the Giant Nokia Box, and curious people who wanted to know what it was all about.

We’ll write up a separate post with our first impressions and reviews of the Nokia C6. So far we actually really like it. And we’ve had a hard time convincing people that it’s just about 13,000 Indian Rs. Total value for money, considering it’s features.

We were told something even bigger is going happen in a couple weeks, related to the #NokiaBox. I cant imagine what WomWorld are up to and how they’re possibly going to top everything they’ve done so far.
