We’ve been hearing a lot about the Samsung Galaxy Tab lately, which is essentially a big version of the Galaxy S phone. With this current offering Samsung’s Galaxy line up is looking remarkably similar to something we have seen over the years from Apple.
The Tab will also have an interchangeable camera as will offer some sort of mobile TV capabilities. The device has a 7-inch screen and will run on Android 2.2, affectionately known as Froyo. It will also feature a blazing 1.2 Ghz Cortex A8 processor. It has 16 GB of memory and supports both WiFi and 3G.
It looks like Samsung is trying to complete directly with Apple. Not only are its Galaxy S devices are remarkably similar to the iPhone (apparently there will be a White Galaxy S device) Samsung has announced the arrival of Galaxy Player, which is again essentially the Galaxy S phone without the phone. Now with the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, it has a whole array of devices. The new firmware will also tout some pretty cool features. Samsung is doing all the right things, and will certainly take a huge chunk of the market share with all it’s current offerings.
