Nokia announced their Q2 Profits for 2010 today.

And the numbers are pretty much what you’d expect. Nokia’s net profit for Q2 2010 was €221 million, which you’d think would be awesome. But then you’d have to consider that they pulled in €380 million during the same quarter last year, during a tougher economy.
Average Nokia handset selling prices also dipped, from €64 in 2009, to €61 now. Nokia’s reasoning is that this was because of price pressures, “in certain high-end smartphones”. However, it is worth noting that they did sell more phones this year. Probably due to their growing presence in the budget handset market, which in-turn probably contributed to their selling prices having been lowered.
