When we broke the story about the Nokia Music Store rebranding as the Ovi Music Store, we didnt really know an exact time frame for when the transition would happen, other than Nokia saying “soon“.
Well it looks like soon has come pretty quick for one country, as apparently Malaysia is the first to get the revamped Music Store. Music.Ovi.com for Malaysia takes users to the regional Ovi Music Store which seems to be pretty much finished and working fine.
The Store now seems to work on all browsers, along with the Ovi Player desktop application.
And lots of sections on the Homepage !
Featured Playlists, a “Rediscover” section, a Feature section, Picks of the Week, Just added and Recommended Music.
There’s also a short snippet (in the image below) of what the new scheme is. Keep in mind that Malaysian and Indian Ovi Music Store users can only purchase tracks with a pre-paid voucher (and Comes with Music for Malaysia) so this might be different in other Ovi Music Stores.
Also on the site, was a short Intro Video which you can view below :
So what do y’all think of the new Ovi Music Store look ? Slick enough ? Or still lacking ? Notice anything new ?
Let us know in the comments section below, y’all !
Nokia's first music store to be rebranded under the new Ovi Music look-&-feel is actually Russia: http://music.ovi.com/ru followed by Malaysia & latest being Indonesia :)
Same here Clinton ! India's pretty much in the same boat. Although allowing CC purchases too, would keep everyone happy I suppose lol.
Clinton Calling Clinton.
