Ovi Maps updates to v3.04 in Beta

Ovi Maps got an Update today.

The Update is in Beta, but adds a couple new features such as :

• Improved positioning speed and accuracy (better GPS handling and new Wi-Fi network positioning)
• Map zooming with faster speed
• Improved search for cities with zoom out to city level

There’s also a new positioning method, ‘Wi-Fi/Network‘, that seems to speed things up a bit.

As usual, remember that this will take up some bit of your phone memory (about 18Mb) so you Original N97 owners might want to be careful with it.
