Thanks to DailyMobile, we’ve come to know that the Nokia E72 has gotten a firmware update to version 23.002 today. It’s previous firmware version was v022.007.
The E72 does have UDP (User Data Preservation), so while its always a good idea to backup all your data before the firmware update, none of your programs or data should be affected with the update.
Remember you can update using the E72’s OTA (Over-The-Air) feature, or if you prefer you can download Nokia’s Software Updater application to update your E72 on your windows PC.
If there’s no new firmware detected for your device yet, it might be because it hasnt reached your region product code yet, or maybe your device is carrier branded. It should roll out to all product codes eventually though.
Apparently noone’s been able to find much new in this update. No doubt there are various speed tweaks and bug fixes under the hood. No confirmed changelog yet, but we’ll update this post if we find one. Our ASIA Region code hasnt gotten the update yet so we werent able to try it out.

Hi I'm from Indonesia. This FW 023.002 update had been available in my country few days ago. 10th February, I think. I have updated my E72 and notice some change. I update my E72 from 021.xxx to 023.002, no 022.007, so I don't know if the change i notice were already present in 022.007. - Long press of contact key makes new contact - Additional theme: purple business and personal - More sensitive Trackpad, even in medium sensitivity I think that's all I found for now. Thanx
