One of the first games I installed on the Nokia N900, was Angry Birds by Rovio. Mostly because of how much fun and addictive I heard it was (The Free game is already being downloaded 6 times more than the original sales of the same game on the iPhone). At the risk of sounding Cliche, the graphics were supposed to be pretty good too.

Well, all of that was true, and I honestly did love the game. That was until I finished it and ran out of levels !
Unfortunately there was an issue with the release of the additional level pack on the Ovi store, which allowed users to directly download it from their N900’s without having to pay. This prompted Rovio to remove the pack, which means there werent any more levels to play !
But thankfully a couple people from Maemo.org (with the permission of Rovio) have begun creating their own custom levels, along with a level editor.
Quoting Mika (an employee of Rovio) :
First of all, wow! We anticipated requests for level editor but didn’t quite expect the users to put effort to reverse engineer their own. It’s very nice to see the level of interest Angry Birds has received from the Maemo community.
As for any possible legal issues no worries, go for it!
Now while the Level Editor is still being worked on, there’s a 10 level pack available for download now ! The Installation procedure does take a bit of tinkering though.
Here’s a video of the new custom levels :
