The Nokia 5233 just stopped by ZCJ Headquarters.
As you might not know (cause we sure didnt), the Nokia 5233 is the localized (read: Cheaper) version of the (already cheap) Nokia 5230. The difference though, is that the 5233 doesnt have 3G, which is why it’s a bit more ‘budget‘. Like the 5230, it also doesnt have Wifi.
But hey, there’s still a 3.2 inch screen, 2.0 megapixel camera and a standard 3.5mm Audio Port on this S60v5 Budget handset. We actually really liked our last budget device which we reviewed, but this ‘s a lot more…. uhh….budget-ier.
At a price of just Rs 8289 in India (that’s approx US $175 or 125 Euros), this is pretty much Nokia’s cheapest A-GPS Touch device yet, so that’s something to note.
Update: Whoops. Apparently the 5233 does have A-GPS (Assisted GPS) but it’s only via using the Network. There’s no built-in GPS Receiver. Bit of confusion surrounding this.
We’ll have our review up in the next couple weeks. Stay Tuned y’all !
