Unboxing the Nokia N86 8MP

We’ve been rockin’ the Nokia N86 8MP for about a day now. Still too early for a proper review, but here’s an unboxing in the meanwhile.

N86 8MP Unboxing

The handset is from the ASIA region, so some of the contents might vary and might be different than what you get with the Nokia N86 8MP in your country.

Behold the unboxing :

(If you’re reading this on our RSS feed and cant see the video, the YouTube version can be found here.)

In order of the unboxing :

  • Nokia N86 8MP
  • Nokia Battery (BL-5K)
  • Nokia Travel Charger (AC-10)
  • Nokia Connectivity Cable (CA-101)
  • Nokia Wired Headset (AD-54+HS-83) (With Inlets for Different Ear Types)
  • Nseries Branded Pouch for N86 8MP
  • Ovi Brochure
  • Ovi Suite DVD
  • Nokia N86 8MP User Guide

Surprisingly our unit did not come with a TV-Out cable in-box. Just like the N97 and N97 Mini was lacking one in their retail packages. Of course this might differ according  to region.

Otherwise its pretty much your standard Nseries Package. There’s no MicroSD included because the N86 has 8GB of memory built in already, with an option of adding in a MicroSD card too. I’m just Glad they didnt decide to call it the “N86 8GB 8MP“.

Have any questions about the device that we havent covered already ? Any posts you’d like to see ? Do let us know in the comments y’all !

I predict you're going to love it.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago as a companion to my iPhone 3GS and have been very impressed so far. The latest firmware has issues though: transitions not working properly as well as more serious stability bugs. So, I would expect / hope Nokia to address that in the very near future. I also maintain that Nokia Messaging is a joke. But, enough of the negatives, the good news is that the camera really is great and the rest of the phone is your typical, reliable S60 3rd Edition FP2 goodness.

If you're interested, I posted my own thoughts on this phone and why it's better than the N97 or E75 here:
