Thanks to NokiaLino, we’ve come to know that the Nokia N79 just received a minor firmware update to v32.001. Its previous firmware was v31.002.
The N79 does have UDP (User Data Preservation), so while its always a good idea to backup all your data before the firmware update, none of your programs or data should be affected with the update.
Remember you can update using the N79’s OTA (Over-The-Air) feature, or if you prefer you can download Nokia’s Software Updater application to update your N79 on your windows PC.
If there’s no new firmware detected for your device yet, it might be because it hasnt reached your region product code yet, or maybe your device is carrier branded. It should roll out to all product codes eventually though.
We havent found any official changelog yet, but we’ll update this post if we do. This update probably includes a couple bug fixes and speed improvements though.
Do you have a Nokia N79 ? Notice anything new after the firmware update ? Do let us know in the comments y’all.
Again, misleading news article as with the N96 firmware article. Check Navifirm and you will see that it is only available for one product code in Finland only, 31.002 is still the same update as before. Would be good if you removed this article along with the one on the N96.
