Nokia announces the Nokia 5235; Comes with Music

Today, Nokia announced the new Nokia 5235 “Comes with Music”.

Nokia 5235

The device is basically just like the Nokia 5230 (just that it doesnt have GPS). It comes with one year of unlimited Legal Song downloads from the Nokia Music Store, and a 2 Megapixel Camera.

No wifi on this device though, which means you’d better have a solid data plan to download those tracks (or download them on your Computer with the CwM license). The 5235 runs on a 1350 mAh battery which can run for upto 33 hours of music playback and memory expandable to 16GB via microSD.

It measures 111 x 51.7 x 15.5 mm with a 3.2 inch resistive touch screen at a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels.

The Nokia 5235 will begin shipping in the first quarter of 2010, at a recommended price of €145 (approx $214, Indian Rs9960 ) before taxes and subsidies.

Personally the lack of Wifi on a device nowadays, just kills it for me. Obviously this is meant more for the budget crowd though.

HI AM FAIZAN ALI .STUDYING IN CLASS XII.IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBT ABOUT THE STYLISH SMARTFONE(NOKIA5235) THEN ASK.FROM ME IT IS AVERY NICE PHONE AND I HAD GOT NO PROBLEMS AT ALLLLLLLLLLLLL,FROM 2 MONTHS,,,,,

Its interesting Nokia coming up with decent offerings at affordable prices. But my contention is why they package some product in different wrapper each time. Simply can't get what's the problem in introducing products like Maemo (N900) in Indian market or lets say what sort of apprehensions are there for trying new technology/products in their unarguably biggest market ! I will say even internet tablets would have done well here but afraid I'm not one of the executive in Nokia making these plans and decisions. ;)Coming back to Nokia XM 5235, I have to say it is lack of common sense to have a GPS on phone instead of Wi-Fi as latter could have worked wonders coupled with unlimited download offer on Nokia Music Store.

"3.2 inch resistive touch screen at a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels" is what I posted :) Not too bad for a budget phone I guess

Yup, just like the 5800 and 5230 before it, the Nokia 5235 runs on S60v5.

It is touchscree Rohan, and it has got GPS too, pls rectify your post. And would you mind to mention which OS it has got?? S60v5 i suppose.
