Skype released a beta version of their Skype for Symbian App today.
The application should work on all S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 and Feature Pack 2 devices (no S60v5 client yet I’m afraid).
The installation file weighs in at 4.2 Mb which goes up to a 6 Mb Installation. Be warned though, you have to install this on your Phone memory, and the app is in Beta which means its pretty buggy. The full client should be out early 2010 if you want to wait.
The Skype app has all the basic features of Skype that you’d want to use, and works over both 3G and Wifi (not GPRS though).
