If you take a look at the new Nokia E72, its pretty easy to see the design similarities (and improvements ?) over the ol’ E71. However, the E72 has a bit more in common with the cosmetics of the E63 too.
Here are a couple images of the Nokia E72 vs the Nokia E63.
Front View :
Here you can see the design similarities, as well as differences between the E72 and E63. They’re also more or less the same size. The E72 of course, uses more premium quality materials like Stainless Steel, while the E63 is mainly plastic.
Both the E63 and E72 have a 2.4? screen. The E72 has a front-facing VGA camera in the upper side, near its earpiece and light sensor.
Both devices have 4 one-touch keys (3 customisable and one Menu key), along with the Dpad and Calling keys. You can notice that in the E72, the calling keys are not red or green color coded, which takes some getting used to at first.
The E63 and E72 Qwerty Keyboards look pretty similar too.
Back View :
The E72 has a 5 Megapixel Camera at its back, compared to the Nokia E63 and it’s 2 Megapixel camera. Both have a single LED Flash. The E72 has a Metal back panel while the E63 has a plastic one.
Its worth mentioning that the E72 has its loudspeaker located at the back.
Left View :
Both devices have their MicroSD and MicroUSB port here.
You’ll also notice that the E72 is a lot thinner than the E63.
Top View :
Both devices have their standard 3.5mm Audio Jack here. The E63 also has its loudspeaker situated here.
Right View :
The E72 has its volume increase/decrease (aka zoom in/out) keys here, along with a mute/voicetag key in the middle.
Bottom View :
Both devices have just their charging port here.
