We’ve had the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic for about 2 days here at ZCJ. I can honestly say, at first I wasnt really expecting much from this device, but I was really suprised by how much I’m liking the 5530 so far !

The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic definitely suprised me. I’m not sure if its the “finished feeling” firmware, or the Kinetic scrolling, or just the overall look of the device that has me liking it so much, but I can tell you right now, that if you’re looking for a low-end Music device, this one’s definitely recommended.
The 5530 doesnt do a lot of things, but what it does (Music & UI), it seems to do pretty well. Consider us suprisingly impressed.
"the 5530 XM comes with the solid stainless steel frame finish" -- intomobile.c0mplease could anyone verify this? is it really stailess steel or chrome paint on plastic?

Hey There ! Like I said above^, for just 3.5k more you're getting GPS, 3G, a bigger screen, and a Carl Zeiss lens with the 5800 XM (which is Rs 13,500 right now).If these things really do not matter to you, and you're really on a tight budget, then the 5530 XM (which is Rs 10,000 right now) is definitely recommended. But if you can afford it, go for the 5800 I'd say. The 5530 might have Kinetic scrolling and a more stable firmware overall, but rumours are the 5800 will get a firmware update soon which will add in all these features anyway.
hey...would definitely like to know which phone to buy,,nokia 5530 or 5800???could you please help me out mate???I have no use of gps and 3g ( there is no good 3g network providers in India). i have a digital camera with 10mp so would not use the camera of the phone.price is not a problem for me but i'm just so very confused about'em both, i just need the screen to be good as in having good touch response etc.please help me out??
Hey there. The 5530 XM is supposed to sell for about Rs 10,000 in India, but I havent got any confirmation on the price yet.The UI is great, but rumours are the 5800 will get it too in a future firmware update. And since the 5800 only costs Rs 13,500 now, you're getting GPS, 3G, a bigger screen, and a Carl Zeiss lens for just 3.5k more.
hey man any idea bout the price in india and the release date...and with the new UI on this do you think a new firmware for the 5800 might be out soon making that an even better buy or is this better??
It has that same little "3D ringing tone" option that most of the new Nokia's have. I dont think it properly supports surround sound though lol. More like just really loud sound hehe. It sounds really great in landscape mode if you're watching something because the speakers are on the left and the right in that orientation.
Heya Mike ! There's about 46Mb of Ram at startup (Pic here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/clintonjeff/393049... ) which isnt too bad considering this wasnt meant to be a power user's device heh. I'd say the chrome lining was just chrome paint on plastic, so it might eventually flake off. We'll keep ya updated :)
Nice Review CJ, 4 speakers??? WOW!!!!Is true that the phone stereo speakers supports surround sound? (woooa 5 continuous words starting with an S!!!)
