A video for the Nokia codenamed “Erdos” luxury handset (as in you & I probably cant afford it), has apparently been leaked. This device is the successor to the Nokia 8800 series and will supposedly run Symbian S60 V3 Nokia’s S40 OS.

The guys from Cellpassion covered the leak and apparently found these specs for the device :
* Dimensions: 116.9 x 50.3 x 15.0 mm
* Display: 2.4 “QVGA 320×240, OLED
* Connectivity: Wi-Fi, A-GPS, microUSB, Bluetooth with A2DP
* Camera: 5 megapixel, Carl Zeiss AF with dual LED
* Video performance: 288×352 @ 30 fps & 480×640 @ 15 fps
* Memory: 8 GB without the possibility of extending the microSD
Apparently the device is made completely out of stainless steel silver, and the OLED Glass display remains “Silver” at all times, except when its active and turns transparent. Also, the keypad raises up to meet the display’s level when the device is slid open.
Behold the video :
The Nokia “Erdos” will get a proper name when its announced later this month, and is said to be hitting shelves around October.
Egads. I never thought much of the Nokia 8800 Series except that they were nice looking devices. But this one’s got the looks and pretty neat features. And it runs S60 too. (Update: Egads apparently it still runs S40. So much for that).
What do you think ?
