The N-Gage Application is now released and available for download for the Nokia N97. As you might already know, many N97 models have not shipped with N-Gage onboard, even though it was said to be a built in Feature.
To get the N-Gage Application, go over to your ” Software Update ” app and let it check for updates. N-Gage should be listed as one of the Updates (We also got updates for Ovi Contacts and Ovi Maps). The version of N-Gage on the Nokia N97 is Version 1.30(1541).
Curiously the “N97 Phone Memory Update” that you see listed in the screenshot, had to be installed first, in order to get the N-Gage update (and the app notifies you about that too).
The Installation for N-Gage takes a couple minutes, so sit back and let the whole operation finish. When its done, you’ll find the N-Gage app in your “Games” Folder on your N97.
Curiously, the N-Gage app, and games run in Landscape Mode on the N97. We’ll have more on N-Gage on the Nokia N97 in a separate post. For now, if you have an N97, go out and get yourself the update !

Ah man Jarop that sucks so bad. I've had several people with UK N97s tell me that they had to format their device to get the update. I guess we'll have to wait for the N-Gage team to release the installation file as a download. Hope that doesnt take too long :-
Clinton, i'm one of the unfortunate users who don't have the N-gage 2.0 update in the SW update. I can safely confirm that A HARD FORMAT DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE SOFTWARE TO BE THERE. I did it, and it wasn't. Now i'm all angry face.We receieve the updates:N97 C: Phone Memory updateNokia Messaging 10.0(That is, 3 unlocked N97s across the Australian service providers Telstra, Optus and Vodafone.From what i've read around the internets, those people who have successfully got it working are those who decided not to update to V11. I don't think your service provider plays a part, i've tried it with several sim cards and across multiple V11 N97s.I've had a little cry to the N-gage admins, they havn't got back to me but i will post back their findings
The N-Gage update doesn't seem to be available for Vodafone UK branded phones!
Um... I'd rather wait until it is downloadable first. Not doing the phone format thing again until I *have* to.

Anyone able to find, or get their hands on an install file for the N97. I am running the latest FW 11.0.21 (Vodafone UK) Black, but there's not N-Gage app showing for me.Also if anyone finds an install file for OVI Contacts v1.20 I need that too as the Software Update fails eveytime for this update.

Hey guys, apparently for some people the Update only showed after a phone format. You might want to try that if you really want N-Gage that bad. The update is for both Euro and Nam devices.
I have the NAM version & the software update app shows "all apps are up to date" as well. Is this update limited to the UK only?
How do you "let it check for updates?" It never checks for updates and it always says "(all applications are up-to-date)" and there's no way to manually refresh the list.Can someone post the installer somewhere? The N-Gage site still only has v1.21
Cool. Installed it. But I cannot login. It says 'attempting login' and it returns with netwerk error. Anybody got this?
by the way... i can't find Reset Generation. Or that fishing game.
