I love it when useful free new applications turn up. Like this one by the guys at Thinkchange.cn. You can now turn your Nokia N97 into a compass.
When I first got the N97, I have to admit I was surprised to find out that even though there’s a compass built into the device, there’s no onboard dedicated Compass application for you to really check it out. You’re limited to using it with the Ovi Maps application.
Thankfully the guys at ThinkChange.cn have made this very cool compass application which you can try out on your Nokia N97. Here’s a short demo video of the application in use :
To download the application, head on over to the compass product page on Thinkchange.cn. Remember to calibrate your compass when you start the app for best usage.
(If the Ovi Store didnt have such high sign-up fees, you’d probably see a lot more of these kinda apps appearing there instead of still being segregated all over the Internet)
