Vaibhav over at TheSymbianBlog found out today, that apparently the Nokia Music Store has (finally) soft launched here in India.

About freakkin time ? You might recall back in October 2008, Nokia India said the Music Store would open in early 2009.
All the Major International Labels like Sony, Universal along with several local Indian labels are present in the Store. There’s all the Hindi & Bollywood Music you could want, along with International Music.

You can visit the store by going to Music.Nokia.co.in on your device browser or Nokia Music Store Application. You can also visit on your (windows only) PC but only on the Internet Explorer Browser sadly.
Music in the Store is arranged by Top Tracks, New Releases, Top Albums and Playlists.
If you click on a track, you’re taken to a page specifically for the song, where you can listen to a 30 second sample, or pay & download the song itself.
Since this is still basically a soft launch, you cant actually purchase any Music right now. You can still look around the store in the time being, or if you happen to have a redeemable pin (No idea what that is), use that to purchase music.
You’ll need to create and register a Nokia Music Store Account to download tracks from the Store. I tried signing in with my Nokia (Ovi) account but it wouldnt let me.
Anyway, I’m glad to finally see this thing launch here in India. Once again, all I can say is, about freakkin time Nokia India !
Have you tried out the Nokia store yet ? What are your thoughts on it ?

Can you check with someone in Nokia India to find out more about PIN?
Nokia fans like us should get few if any trials are going on. :-)
