Though I paid $25 for Handy Taskman about a year ago, I have since moved on to Jbak and will likely never switch back. While its not the prettier of the two, Jbak is much more feature packed, and highly customizable as you mentioned. The ability to have this app launch with a single click of the menu key rather than holding the key is probably the best feature of Jbak. I find it makes multi-tasking much more quicker.

Something you forgot to mention is the ability to smooth scroll through your opened apps by continuously holding the menu key. That is, if you enable this option. I find this very useful when switching between two applications that I am currently using. Though at default, the switching is fairly slow. However, you can tweak the timing in the settings to speed things up to your liking.

Great article.
