We’re meeting the Designer of the Nokia N97. Questions ?

Just a short note to let y’all know that we are part of an exclusive group of bloggers that are invited to meet Axel Meyer, the Designer of the Nokia N97, at the Nokia N97 Launch event in Bangalore this June 9th. You might know Axel from his various interviews about the N97.

While I will not be able to head to India to cover this event myself, we have a guest correspondent in Bangalore who will cover the event on behalf of ZOMGitsCj.com (Yeah, we totally have secret correspondents all over the world working for us).

Since we’ll be able to talk to Axel Meyer, try to become best friends with him and fondle the various N97s around with our grimy hands, we figured we might as well throw in any questions that you, our readers have about the device.

So, got any questions about the N97 ? Let us know in the comments y’all.

Question for you CJ - why when this is the flagship device does it have such a poor out of date processor?

I have several issues/questions on the design front, but the major biggie:

Why did Nokia make the keyboard 3 rows only, forcing the numbers row to inconveniently share the top row with the letters? (The old, "oh there's no space, it's the best we can do" is not good enough because there is plenty of space on the N97 - it's just a case of figuring out where to put what and not copping out for the easy route)

Don't get me wrong - the keyboards decent - but it could have been great with just that little bit more effort (something of a big theme going on with the N97)
