Juat a few minutes ago, Google announced the Google Mobile App for Symbian S60 devices. This application allows you to quickly search and use a variety of Google services, right from your device without having to open up your browser.

The application uses the same single key press launcher that we saw on the Google Search Application (that was released a while ago). Press the designated key, and the search box will pop up right away.

While in the Search box, you can start typing away to get real-time suggestions, just like Google Search for browsers.

The Google Mobile app can also use Google Map’s “My Location” feature to find your current location and give you more relevant search results.

Of course you can switch this off in the settings menu if you wish.

You can also choose to switch off the “Quick Key Reminder” if you find it annoying, and choose whether or not you want the Google Mobile App to save your search history.
To get the Google Mobile App, head on over to m.Google.com on your device browser and choose to download the application.

(Note : There doesnt seem to be a version for S60 V5 Touch devices yet though)
