Pre-Order the Nokia N97 Now (In Germany, Sweden, Italy, & USA)

Nokia is now taking Pre-Orders for the upcoming Nokia N97. So far they’re only taking orders from Germany, Sweden, Italy and the USA but no doubt that list will grow soon. If you’re in those regions and interested in checking the N97 out, you can go ahead and pre-order it from Nokia.com/N97/Preorder.

Nokia N97 Preorder

If you’re in the USA, when you pre-order, you’ll get a Nokia BH-703 Bluetooth wireless headset worth $90 free with the device. Not a bad deal at all eh ?

Nokia N97 Preorder

Even if you dont want to actual order the device, you can still join the Nokia N97 Members Club to get the latest N97 related info and content (and apparently a couple freebies too).

Nokia Europe has even setup a Flash site to show off the new Nokia N97, filled with animations, feature lists and specs and an interactive Demo. You can check that out over at Nokia.com/N97.

W00t ! I honestly cant wait to check out the N97. The demos on the site make it look very slick !

What do you guys think about Nokia’s new Flagship ?

I think that the longer I await this phone the less spectacular it seems. For 700 bucks I only get a 5MP camera (same one as the N95 from 2 years ago), a 434MHz processor, dual LED, same OS as the 5800 (which I did not like, especially the on-screen QWERTY - a non issue for the N97), not many apps available, and a rather sluggish browser (if it is the same one as the 5800). Yes, it does have 32GB built in, but that seems to be the most advanced part of it. I do not want to pay 700 for a cool Facebook app. Granted I am also not too excited about the i8910 which runs the same OS and is likely to have similar issues. My 2 biggest rants about the i8910 is that it has a single LED (seriously??? 8MP and HD video and 1 LED, wtf) and the on-screen QWERTY. That is not to say that I won't end up with a N97 or i8910 but I am just not as excited about them as I was when I first learned about their upcoming releases.

Heh I have to say I feel around the same. The longer I wait, the less interested I seem to get. The i8910 is looking VERY sweet, except for that silly LED flash. I do not understand why they didnt just plonk a Xenon flash on there !
