Incase you didnt already know, Nokia bought Navteq in 2008 for about $8.1 billion, and Navteq currently provides digital navigation maps for Nokia’s own “Nokia Maps” GPS navigation software for its devices.

The first Samsung phone using Nokia’s Navteq maps will be the Omnia HD i8910 which uses Symbian S60 5th Edition, and should be available around late May.

Heh. How about that, eh ?

They'll use the maps, but what about the app? I'm strongly thinking about this handset, and it would be nice to have some familiar apps.

Totally agree ! It would be nice to see apps like Nokia Maps/sportstracker on it, but I'm not holding my breath lol.
