Remember that ol’ Earpiece problem with the 5800 XpressMusic we told you about way back in January ? Well Nokia’s finally given an official response to the problem, after the guys from Mobile-Review looked into the matter.
Basically, the main cause of all of this, was humidity that gradually gets into the flawed earpieces. Nokia said that they changed earpiece suppliers in Febuary 2009, so any 5800s made then, or later, should be okay. If your 5800 was bought before then, or has the earpiece problem, you can get it replaced at your local Nokia Care Center.
