The Nokia 6710 Navigator was just announced a couple minutes ago. The Satnav device is “as dedicated to in-car navigation as it is pedestrian guidance” and will ship with Nokia Maps and the Nokia CR-111 car holder accessory inside the box, which cradles the handset so it can sit smartly in view on your dashboard.
The 6710 runs on S60 v3 FP2 and can deliver up to 12.6 hours of GPS pedestrian navigation and 6.6 hours of car navigation on one full battery charge.
Location-based service such as Nokia Maps 3.0, and it’s ability to geo-tag photos via it’s 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, are backed up by both high speed uplink (HSDPA) and high speed downlink (HSUPA), meaning you can share photos and videos far faster and more efficiently than before.
The Nokia 6710 Navigator will ship in the third quarter for a price of 300 Euros (approx $ 380, Indian Rs 18,500), before taxes and subsidies.
