Google Maps for S60 just got an update to v3.00 . There’s now a new “Google Latitude” feature, which is a way of sharing your location and finding your friends on the map, very similar to Nokia’s Friendview Application.

To grab your own copy of v3.00, using your phone, go to m.google.com and click on ‘More’ and then ‘Maps’. Or just visit Google.com/Latitude.
To grab the iGoogle Gadget, visit Google.com/Latitude on your browser.

Your location is only shared with your selected friends and vice versa. If you want, you can even turn location sharing off. Google Talk is integrated with Latitude, although you’ll have to individually invite your friends to join Latitude.

Also, another cool thing is, you don’t need a GPS lock to set your location, you can also manually set it.
