Some time ago, there was a pretty big commotion over the the ‘Curse of Silence‘ exploit that allowed someone to disable the messaging application on Nokia’s S60 smartphones by sending a certain message to it.
The exploit didnt actually do anything else to the rest of the phone, and was fixable with a format, but Nokia got a lot of flank about them “ignoring such a big security flaw” so this might come as good news to a lot of folks.
In addition to working with network carriers, Nokia has released the Nokia SMS Cleaner Tool for users to download and install incase they’ve fallen prey to the aforementioned exploit.
If you’re worried about being attacked, just download it and store it on your phone so you can install it whenever. It’s free and easy to install.

Hey Adrian ! The Sms Cleaner is to remove the Curse of Silence if it infects your phone. You can also carry around the installation file and use it if this happens. Otherwise there's no use to install it :)
Even after a night time sleep and some reading is not clear. I'm not installing everything on my phone ( not even on my computers ) just to check out the software ( beta or not ) The application “SecShield” the first user above speaks about is it the same with Nokia_sms_cleaner? Is it a " before " or an " after " the infection software?

Maybe I'm tired... english is not our 1st language for most of us... this app once installed will work as a " sms firewall " ? As a " sms antivirus product " ? I shall read again some links about the topic, because I'm kind of confused... should I installed it, as a prevention? It behaves like a Microsoft cleaner / removal tool?
