Nokia Sports Tracker Bike Cradle

I was lucky enough to get a Nokia Sports Tracker bike cradle which was sent to me by Ms. Jen who scored a few from Jussi Kaasinen, of the Sports Tracker Team, to give away to other Sports Tracker fans. Its a promotion product that I dont think will be available in stores.

Now since my pedal bike’s in need of major repair, and I mainly use SportsTracker for jogging, I thought I’d use it for the next best thing…. My motorbike, to record Nokia viNe journeys when I go on long bike rides with the ol’ gang.

The cradle consists of 5 different parts that you have to assemble together. The instructions that it comes with are easy enough to follow.

The materials may look a little cheap, but when you put the whole thing together, its pretty darn secure.

Basically, you strap it onto your bike’s handlebars so that its in a better position to get/keep a GPS lock, and so you can look at your phone’s screen while riding your bike.

Even though the label said “Compatible with the Nokia N82, N95 classic and N95-8GB models”, the size of the main strap lets you slip in almost any phone there, but the N96 was a really tough fit. The strap is placed such that your phone’s screen does not get covered.

Hehe.

The cradle might not look like much but its REALLY secure. And for me to say that, in regard to Indian roads, y’know its saying something. I kinda wish Nokia would sell these officially. I already know a couple people who really want one now .

Thanks again Jen !

This looks really cool,It's better if it comes with a bike or Paddle powered Charging unit, cos the GPS use for over a continuous period of time would drain you battery pretty fast.
