NokiaviNe, the GPS journey tracking application that I personally love using, has finally been launched to the public.
I know I’ve talked about this application alot, but thats because I see a lot of potential in it.
If you’ve been reading this blog, you by no doubt know about NokiaviNe already, but if you havent, its basically an improvedversion of Nokia’s Sportstracker service, thats more oriented towards travelling. It uses your phone’s built-in GPS unit to track where you go, what photos or videos you take, and what music you’re listening to. This is all saved as a “viNe”. Later after you’re done recording your journey, you can uploaded your “viNe” to the Nokia viNe site, so you can easily share with others.
You’ll have to head on over to the official site to download the application.
Surprisingly, the only phones that are officially supported at the moment are the E71, N78, N79, N82, N85, N95 8GB, and N96. Where’s the N95-1 lovin ? Its basically the same as the N95-8GB ? Nokia and their weirdness. Also, where’s that web embeddable Widget we were told about in the beginning when NokiaviNe was launched ?
Anywho, do try out the application and let me know what you think ! I, for one, really like it. While I’m probably not going to use it everyday, there are a lot of instances where I will.
