Nokia 
In keeping with my Phones in the club feature, here’s something I actually really liked about the Nokia N96. The fact that you can record videos with the Dual LED flash switch on during it. Thats awesome ! It makes a total difference compared to recording video with my N82, which doesnt have any flash during video recording.
Yesterday at the Halloween Party at Club Edge over here in Manipal, I managed to take a couple videos with my N96 just to see how good that Dual LED is at night video recording.
The Flash is switched off on default in the camera video recorder settings :
But that can easily be switched on by just selecting the flash icon :
Unfortch, these three were the only ones “approved for internet viewing” by my self conscious friends though :P . So they’ll have to do. Oh and just so you know, the guy in the Mexican wrestler mask, is me.
Close range (Me and my pals groovin’ at the club) :
You can see the N96‘s flash in video mode really helps greatly with visibility here. You can see everyone clearly.
Long range (Other people at the club):
The Dual LED flash of the N96 can only go so far. You can just see the lights at the club and nothing much else. Still not bad though. Would have been a lot worse recording with a phone without dual-led flash switched on.
About medium distance from objects (2-3 feet ish) .At the Halloween After Party :
Even here, the objects arnt very clear, but you can still make them out. Wouldnt be the same case on my N82.
I would have posted some pictures I took with my N96 too, but it was nowhere as good as the N82 and its xenon flash at night. Luckily I took my N82 for pictures, and my N96 to take videos yesterday night at the Halloween Party.
Is the N82 and the N96 the ultimate media recording combination for now ?
Atleast until Nokia does the imaginable and puts a dual LED flash and a Xenon flash on one device for an awesome photo and video recording experience. I wonder how far away that is.
So what do you think ? The N96 has video recording down, yes ?
