There’s been one application on the Nokia Betalabs site that I’ve never really understood. Mobile Web Server. Unfortch, I’m the kinda guy that doesnt even bother trying something that I dont completely understand. I need to exactly what it does and how it works ! And because of that, I’ll admit to never giving Mobile Web Server a try.
Luckily, Nokia Betalabs posted today, a brief introduction to Nokia Mobile Web Server. Video embedded, after the break.
So what is it ? Basically it allows you to have your own “Web Server” running on your phone, which lets people access your latest pictures or videos taken, your latest blog entries (from your phone, posted on your Web Server site) or your latest status updates (Which can also be pushed to your Facebook status using the Facebook Mobile Server app). Your friends can also send you a text message from your Web Server page.
To be able to do this, all you need is a Symbian phone thats compatible with Web Server and a dataplan such as WiFi or 3G to let your phone communicate with your Web Server Site.
Sounds cool and kinda fun right ?

I would really like a way to have MWS's status updated via Facebook or Jaiku rather than the other way around. We'll see what can be done.
