Like every good Nokia N-series geek , I was refreshing my Nokia Download! application in my phone today when I noticed this new folder :
A folder called “Secret“. In the folder detail, the information said it was linked to Openatyourownrisk.com. Nokia‘s crazy new viral site to tease people with some weird secret that everyone wants to find out. On opening it, I found the following items :
Taking each one at a time, that is :
-The Application
When installing it, you get the above prompt. After you run the program , you get this :
The next screen you get is this :
Followed by a message telling you to add a four digit code in the next page :
I couldn’t, for the life of me, find out what the Four Digit Code was. Anyone have any idea ?
-The Ringtone
On opening the icon you get the following prompt :
After which the ringtone downloads and copies itself to either the phone memory or the memory card ,depending on your choice :
Not my kind of Ringtone to be honest. Sounds nice though. You can download it here (Right click–>Save as).
-The Wallpaper
On selecting the wallpaper icon you get the following prompt :
Once it downloads, you get the following wallpaper :
You can download the wallpaper here (Right click–>Save as).
Weird. That’s all i can say.
Now , the question is, can anyone make any sense of it at all ? I keep going to Openatyourownrisk.com and looking for clues. But I just cant find any 4 Digit Code anywhere. I dont know what Nokia is up to, but this is sure a fun and interesting way to get people to check out something.
The site only has that weird Notice of termination message but the description is still in the source code of the page :
Hundreds of years ago, scientists, artists and members of Royal families gathered to produce a clip of grand weirdness. A clip stranger and more amazing than anything that had ever been made before. But the clip turned out too weird! People went mad from seeing it and it was too much for the common man to handle. Thus the clip was locked away, in a mysterious box with four seals. The knowledge of how to break the seals has been passed down from one generation to another, hidden within the technological masterpieces of history. Edison’s light bulb, the Wright Brothers’ airplane and Apollo 11 all held the secret of unlocking the box. A secret that can now be found within Nokia Download service, allowing the public – you, to find the key to break the seals. And see…the weirdest clip. Ever made…
Eeesh. I have no idea. Just incase its any help ,here are the Wiki articles on :
-Edison’s light bulb
-The Wright Brothers’ airplane
-Apollo 11
Although I cant find anything in common with them all. Of the 4 digit variety.
Update: One hour later , Symbian-Guru posted about it too , click here to read their article on it.
Update 2: Now jaspp.net has posted about it too. Noone’s found the code yet !
Update 3 : Looks like the site is back up and running and as weird as before. Openatyourow
nrisk.com ! ( Thanks commentor Lucien )

Unfortunately the Application directly installs on my phone, so i cant grab the .sis file to my pc. Sorry ! :(
Hi Teh Cj,I'm trying to solve the puzzle like you. Could you upload "The Application" on somewhere? Thanks,
The code isn't for the aplication... you have to complete the test of www.openatownrisk.com/main.swf ... the aplication works in the last test... Good luck!P/d: I winnn!! now i'm waiting for my Super T-Shirt!!!
Don't know if anyone tries this anymore, but the 4 digit code thing. On the web page select the page where 8 symbols comes up. Type those number into the application in the Nokia and you get 4 digits, put those digits into the webpage and the clip opens. You have to play the ringtone in your microphone on the "bubble" page. And show the picture to your webcam on the "eye" page. But haven't seen the video that should be in "The box" on my phone som don't know the last code.
